In the introduction to her new book, “unfurling,” poet/artist Marietta Patricia Leis offers us yet another very personal volume of poetry and art that serves to give us pause. Pause to reflect. Pause to accept. Pause for thanks.

“These writings are the harvest of a back-of-the-stove soup — conjured thoughts revealing my internal landscape,” writes Leis in her Introduction.

It is indeed a harvest, one that she shares with readers as if we were sitting across from her, in front of a simmering living-room fire.
